I've never watched the Kentucky Derby before. Usually I just stand outside the Off Track Betting place on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint and watch the desperate slobs betting on it. More fun! But my friend Rachel (above, in red) had a Kentucky Derby Party last Saturday, and since the event would only be 2 minutes and we could spend the rest of the time eating nibbly things and drinking booze, of course I went! I even betted. On Dean's Kitten. Who came in 14th.

No sign of Dean's Kitten anywhere.
